Heel Tastic
78Heel Tastic for Dry Cracked Heels
Heel Tastic is this As Seen On TV product for dry cracked heels. Most As Seen On TV products make bold claims to solve and cure every problem known to mankind and I rarely pay attention. But ever since I sawHeel Tastic on Pitchmen I've been intrigued. I don't have a severe cracked heel problem by any stretch but I wanted to find something to repair my dry elbows and knees that wasn't greasy like most skin softening lotions. I suppose I could have tried some random cracked heal cream but seeing Billy Mays actually take a product to Anthony Sullivan and pitch the idea himself made me think this stuff must be pretty good.
At the time Heel Tastic was introduced on Pitchmen Episode 5 it was called The Heel Stick and the piece was pretty interesting. I really expected to see Billy Mays yelling and screaming about the Heel Stick on Pitchmen and was a bit disappointed that he didn't but I remembered the product anyway which is the point of good advertising. I hate to speak ill of the dead but Billy Mays had that annoying voice and that fake looking beard which were enough to keep me glued to the set every time that guy was on tv. I think you'll agree with me on both points when you watch Heel Tastic The Heel Stick) on Pitchmen below. First, that Billy Mays annoying voice is sorely missed in this piece, and second that Heel Tastic is a pretty intriguing product when it comes to repairing dry cracked heals.
Heel Tastic On Pitchmen With Billy Mays
Cracked Heel Relief With Heel Tastic
How to heal cracked heels was the issue that prompted the Heel Stick inventor, chemist Melinda Clark. She reveals on Pitchmen that it was her husband's complaints about her ugly cracked heels which inspired her to create the Heel Stick using combinations of essential oils such as Neem and Karanja which effectively penetrate the skin to soften cracked feet from within. It's been known for centuries that these essential oils contain curative properties to heal dry skin, but most cracked heel treatments fail to penetrate cracked skin and work solely on the outer layers of the feet.
Regardless of how effective the Heel Stick was as a cracked heels remedy, I'm quite sure it was the fact that the manicure and pedicure industries produce billions in revenue which caught the attention of Billy Mays and Pitchmen.
Cracked Heels Repair
It should be pointed out that Clark's Heel Stick invention was no pipe dream. Before she teamed up with Mays she was well on her way to being the cracked heel lady. She had been selling the Heel Stick to spas and if you're very astute you may have noticed a very similar looking product on sale at Bed Bath and Beyond called Luxuriant Cracked Heel Repair. Yes, the heel stick reviews were sensational and Melinda Clark had been testing out the appeal of private labeling the product. So the Heel Stick was already a bit of success when she turned to Billy Mays to take the cracked heel remedy world wide. And remember, what started out as a quest for a remedy for dry cracked heels for one woman is what got this thing started. It was never the idea of some Pitchmen at an ad agency trying to create an as seen on tv product to sell to a bunch of suckers. For me, this adds legitimacy to Heel Tastic and allows me to ignore most of the As Seen On TV sensationalism associated with many of these type of products.
Heel Tastic Reviews
I waited for the Heel Tastic Reviews portion of Pitchmen because I was really wanted to buy heel tastic but didn't necessarily believe the product, then known as the Heel Stick, was better than any other heel cream or repair treatment I could find anywhere else. It's price seemed a little too good to be true as well so I suffered through the show's build up until I could see some real people testing out with Billy and Sully.
That's pretty much when I remembered how annoying Billy Mays was and how much he loved being Billy Mays. Again I saw this episode long before he died so I don't feel bad. I wasn't shocked to see that most of the women in the salon were admitting to having dry cracked heels because even though it's not a major topic of conversation at the dinner table, anyone who wears sandals, Croqs or flip flops can easily suffer from dry cracked feet.
I would like to say that including the footage where the manicurists were saying they had no idea who those two guys where was self deprecating and mildly clever so at least Billy allowed a few shots at him to be aired. The women in the salon where asked to try the product for a week and return with a Heel Stick review.
I will say this about Mays and Sullivan, they could care less if their as seen on TV products reviews are favorable because the bad ones make for superb television so I'm going to believe these Heel Tastic Reviews were legit. Let's ignore the coincidence that the ladies in this salon just happened to all have been cursed with gross cracked feet, and the Pitchmen resorted to pretending to enjoy pedicures, and focus on the fact that the Heel Stick reviews were positive.
So now that some strange ladies, who none of us know, did some Heel Stick Reviews, how do we know it's a good product when it gets revealed to us after the slick name change to Heel Tastic and some As Seen On TV commercial theatrics? After all, we are looking to heal our cracked heels for real so if we buy this junk we want it to work.
Cracked Feet Are Gross
Cracked Feet are pretty gross so watching the process of how sell the Heel Stick was pretty interesting. Sully brought up the point that it isn't an easy problem to see because heel cracks are on the bottom of people's feet and people who suffer from heel cracks aren't likely to broadcast it to the world and participate in the sensationalism that usually results from infomercial marketing.
Cracked Feet are a big problem and those who suffer really want a remedy but getting the message out there was probably a bit tricky. The pitch meeting itself conjured up some stomach turning images which, I know now, ended up in the Heel Tastic commercial which completely grosses me out every time it airs.
Heel Tastic Cracked Heel Relief
The Heel Stick Is A Success
Watching the filming of the Heel Stick commercial on Pitchmen was actually pretty disgusting but the bottom line with making a successful ad campaign is to illustrate that a problem exists, that you have this problem and that the product will cure the problem. In this case cracked heels are the problem, those who suffer need to learn how to heal the cracked heals, and the Heel Stick can remedy the situation.
Unfortunately, to learn this we have to be bombarded with people's nasty cracked feet. The market research and the sales from the initial round of commercials was fantastic and there is no doubt that the public believes the Heel Stick works. The Heel Stick commercial is identical to the one we know see for Heel Tastic, which is the cracked heel repair stick I ordered. My personal Heel Tastic review is very positive. Although I really don't have a cracked skin problem in my feet, I really needed something to keep my elbows moist and my knees smooth because I'm often exposed to the elements. The fact that Heel Tastic worked quickly and thoroughly and did so without sticking to my clothes was the major benefit to me.
I have to admit that I didn't waste any money purchasing other heal creams or touted cracked heal remedies to see if Heel Tastic worked any better. Most name brand heel crack remedies where very expensive and the cheap ones looked greasy and gross and I didn't want to glop all over me just for the sake of a comparative review.
Despite the disgusting Heel Tastic commercial which continually ruins my dinner, my distaste for as seen on TV products being sold to me as miracles and a name change in mid campaign, I'm giving Heel Tastic the thumbs up.

Does Being An As Seen On TV product hurt or help the public image of Heel Tastic?

Heel Tastic customer service is listed above and most sites selling Heel Tastic don't list this information. If you bought a Heel Tastic cracked heel relief, or have questions about the product, doesn't it makes to prominently display the phone number and/or mailing address?
AmazingProducts.tv provides this information and I'm happy to point it out (and bookmark the page for my own use). There's been some confusion about this product because many of us know it as the Heel Stick and really rely on it as a cracked heel remedy. I don't care what it's called as long as it works.
The Heel Stick and its private label version, Luxuriant Cracked Heel Repair, provided great cosmetic benefits regarding cracked feet, and arguably curative medical relief as well. It's a bit disconcerting that such a great remedy would be sold as an as seen on TV product but that's apparently how to reach the masses these days and if the Heel Tastic commercial wasn't so gross and over the top it probably wouldn't bother potential customers who assume that seen on TV is only to market gimmicks and junk.
The fact that the Heel Tastic customer service information is featured on AmazingProducts.tv should go a long way to ease the minds of those looking for Heel Tastic to heal their cracked heels. It's probably a pretty good idea to check out any product's customer service info before you buy anything from TV or the internet. It just makes sense.(and potentially dollars and cents)
My Heel Tastic Review
So My Heel Tastic Review is complete. Remember I used the product when it was known as the Heel Stick and it probably the exact same thing with only minor proprietary changes if any.
Here's my Heel Tastic Reviews on the three things I use the product for:
- Dry Elbows
- Dry Rough Knees
- Dry Cracked Heels
Heel Tastic passes with flying colors but I'm going to say that it's the only thing out there that works on cracked heels. After all the same product may still be private labeled as Luxuriant Cracked Heel Repair Cream and there other some really expensive cracked heel remedies out there which I'm not interested in trying. I'm just confirming that Heel Tastic works well for me.
Dry Elbows - For whatever reason my elbows are always dry and rough. Perhaps it's because I always have them rubbing on my desk while I use my computer or spend a lot of time in the sun without moisturizing. But after a few days of using Heel Tastic on my elbows, they were soft and smooth. The best part is that I have no streaking on my desk a few minutes after I apply. I don't use it often because I don't need to.
Dry Cracked Heels - I'm not a sufferer per say, but because I run, my heels to rub against my shoes and becomes a bit rough. Just coating with Heel Tastic has made a big difference but I didn't have cracks, bleeding or pain.
Dry Rough Knees - For me it is strictly cosmetics. While running in shorts, walking around on the beach in walk shorts, I just don't like how my 40 year old knees look dry and wrinkled. I never use body lotion or any of that because it's greasy and sticks to my pants. Heel Tastic really helps with this problem and I kind of forgot to check my knees to see how fast it worked but when I went to reapply after a week, I didn't really need to used it I put it on just case. My knees are smooth and have been ever since.
So I think my Heel Tastic Reviews should exemplify the experience I think most people will have with this heel stick. Go For It!
The Heeldini
You know that good products often breed new, and often better products. The Heeldini may in fact be better than heel tastic. They both claim to do pretty much the same thing but the Heeldini softens feet with volcanic pumice. Heel tastic uses a soft roll on type smoosh that coats your feet. This is greasy and messy so if you can get the same results without the smell, without the grease and without the mess.
Foot health is important so now that there are at least two effective products on the market to help eliminate dry rough heels consumers have new choices regarding foot care products.
As Seen On TV Items on Hubpages
Lately I've noticed some really cool as seen on TV items so I wanted to recommend some hubs about them. Some products are silly, some work well and others are duds but people are talking about them so why not.

I do remember Heel Tastic as Heel Stick and was confused by the whole switch. Thanks for clearing it up.
Ha Ha, I love the commercial. I agree it's gross but I can't get enough of it. I don't care if Heel Tastic works or not there's always softening your heels with an electric sander just as the video shows.
I had bad heels and I tried a lot of different products to try to fix them. Heel Tastic is the only one that has ever worked for me. The commercials are awful but the stuff works.
I always wonder why, if a product is so great, that it is not available in stores. I really hate having to pay the shipping and handling. AND then if the product is not satisfactory, you have to pay return shipping which is not ever worth doing. So these companies probably think they have a great product when in fact the crappy products are just not returned for a refund due to the cost.
Heel tastic is the best....I have even put in on my face and you wouldn't believe what great smooth skin I now have. I am 70 years old (as of New Year's Eve 2009) and I am so happy for what Melinda Clark has discovered!! Thank you...Thank you....Thank You Jude in MO
Heel tastic is the BEST!!I LOVE IT!! I have been using it for a month and my Heels are SMOOTH! THE BEST THING EVER INVENTED!
I just purchased Heel Tastic and have used it maybe 6 times. It is amazing stuff! My heels were pretty cracked and already look so much better. I have tried heel lotions, etc., but none have worked as well as Heel Tastic.
I recently was able to purchase this product at a local store (Family Dollar) and let me tell you it works WONDERS! This product ranks 10 out of 10!!
This stuff is the bomb and I love it!!
Bought this product tonight at TARGET. Specf*$*ingtacular. I hope you people buy a lot of it just to make sure they always carry it and I can purchase it there. I used to use a product sheaaloe (yep, shea butter and aloe together) and it would take at least a good week of slathering on 4 to 5 times a day to work (it DID smooth the heels, it's just that it would take FOREVER).
I could feel the difference with this product in ONE USE. NO LIE.
I'm posting this same review at other places...that's just how much I love this stuff.
BTW....I hope you love the smell of ginger (I do). This stuff smells very strongly of ginger.
I have tried Dr. Scholl's Cracked Heel Relief Cream and Flexitrol Heel Balm with no relief from my cracked heels. I purchased Heel Tastic at Bed,Bath and Beyond and within 1 week the dead, cracked skin had peeled of my heels and they are nice and soft now. Please don't ever stop making this. For all you non believers-- it really does work!!!!
I was skeptic as I am with most products. I had the worst looking cracked and peeling heels on the face of the earth. After 2 days -- JUST 2 DAYS - my feet are totally changed and all dryness and cracks are gone! Most amazing product. I wish I had a before and after picture because I hardly believe it myself but its true.
amazing product this is the best 10.00 i spent in a long time. i have tried EVERYTHING and nothing worked, just in 5 days n feet look great... Absoultly love ur product!! rated 10 out of 10 for me.......
I have to agree with everyone else here: this stuff is amazing. I only use it once a day, but it has made such a dramatic change in the way my feet feel and look! I had the worst, most embarrassing feet ever, I couldn't stand for my husband to touch them or for anyone to see them bare. I use Heel Tastic every morning, and about every other day I use a pedicure file on them. (Not the cheese-grater; no one should use those.) They are so much better now. I hope they never stop making this stuff.
Jessica, it's unfortunate that you had such a bad experience, but you seem to be the only one. It really is a great product.
I love heeltastic. I picked it up at a local store, and I noticed an improvement on the dry skin and calluses on my feet almost immediately. It doesn't happen overnight, but I'm already seeing a HUGE improvement after a week of use.
I love Heel Tastic. Both my husband and I use it. We noticed a huge difference within a few days. I no longer have those painful cracks on my heels and my feet look Fan Tastic.
I got it for my bff.
She loves it. And I love her.
jessica: Have you ever thought that maybe you might be allergic to one of the ingredients in the product? It seems very likely, and maybe that's something you should try to figure out before experimenting with new products, and then complaining about it all over the internet when it doesn't work out for you. Just a thought.
I absolutely love heeltastic. I used it for a week before I went to bed and put socks on. In the morning after i showered my heels were so much smoother and less rough. I was really impressed!
After spending hundreds of dollars in the last 30 years on remedy after remedy, I picked up this little gem at BB&B.
In TWO DAYS!!! I see a huge difference already. I am going to tell everyone I know about this stuff. Amazing, really.
This stuff is awesome! I have had really bad cracked feet, so bad that I have cuts, and yes they bleed. My mom hated seeing how they hurt. So she stopped at Sally's Beauty Salon, and bought it for me. I applied it on for the first time tonight, and it's already working! No lie! The only thing was, that I accidentally rubbed it over one of the open cuts, and it burned like heck! But I recommend it 100%!
I went to www.heeltastic.com and bought a tube of heel tastic, I had decided to go ahead and buy the second one with a promise of a free nail grooming kit. Within two weeks I got exactly what I ordered plus the grooming nail kit. I have used this heel tastic for about two weeks now on a nightly basis before going to bed each night, and this is stuff is so awesome. I have tried everything and nothing worked. I'm not doing a commercial here, I am a true honest to god consumer that purchased this awesome product. If you have dry cracked heels, this is something that you need to invest in, you wont be sorry.
Tried heeltastic, it comes in a solid which wouldn't advance. Called the company and was told to use a cottonball. Cheap product and the company did not stand behind their product.
I bought Heel Tastic at Walgreens two weeks ago after reading online reviews. It was $9.99 and they have it in the As Seen on TV endcap.
This product is great! I put it on my heels before bed and then wore socks all night. Even after ONE night my rough heels were much smoother. After one week, the calluses were gone! It is amazing. I would say this has been one of my favorite "surprise" products-- right up there with the Mr Clean Magic Eraser. You have to see it to believe it! Highly recommend Heeltastic. A+++++++++
I love it. I've been using it for about 2 weeks, got it from my local walgreens and it's gradually healing the heel of my foot instead of just scrubbing it away like the pedegg and the nail shop. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED by ME!
I bought this product for my mom and it really works. I recommend it to anyone looking for a solution..it really works good. I only leave comments when I believe in a product.

This is the best you can see the difference in 1 day...my feet feel so smooth...its better than any avon products i use for for my feet
I love this stuff! I have tried it for about a week and a half and I can seriously already see a difference. I tried to find a website for them to voice how much I love the product but could not find one. I would truly recommend this to everyone. I use it along with my ped-egg and my heels are looking so much better!
I bought the product and used it and saw immediate results!! Just wonder if it is safe.has anyone done any research on the products safety on systemic health?

Totally a believer in the Heel Tastic product and agree with most of the heel tastic reviews. Thanks for poking a little fun at the way the product is sold. As Seen on TV products are a bit over dramatic but most do work pretty well. T
