In an effort to get more people to trust the insurance industry, Axa is developing a pilot program that will guarantee a payout to a policy holder even if that policy holder may have not disclosed all necessary health information on their application.
To me this means that the industry is trying to let consumers know they are making strides to develop more trust between the insurers and the insured. Most people think that it is the job of the insurance company not to pay out claims, and this pilot program shows a move to the other end of the spectrum and I love it.
Axa will measure the response of this program over a specified period of time and decide whether to offer it as a full fledged product. If and when that happens, we will a move to that type of guarantee across the Life Insurance Industry as a whole.
Term Life Insurance is still the best way to get they right coverage for you and your family but it is good to see that the products coming to market are still evolving.
